Thanks for your feedback. Which mail account type are you using? Did the "Preparing" dialog already go away before you get the "Not responding" dialog? Does the "Preparing" dialog return after reattempting to restart Outlook?

When I spoke to Microsoft support via their chat services, I was told that there is something wrong with my registry key.
I don't think that is the problem because I'm never even touched my registry key in the past week.
